On 01/10/2015 morning, the National Member Congress on Small and Medium Hydropower – Green Energy Association, term I of 2015-2020 period took place at the Hall of EVN Corporation, co-organized by Vietnam Electricity Corporation – EVN and Vietnam Energy Association and Thuong Dinh Electrical Wires and Cables Joint Stock Company – CADI-SUN. Participants at the Congress were the representatives of Central agencies, small and medium hydropower Companies throughout the country.
 
 
According to the assessment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), Vietnam Energy Association, there are hundreds of small and medium hydropower projects and high-efficiency wind and solar energy projects, etc.. across the country, but their potential has not yet to be fully exploited to supplement a clean energy source to the country’s power. In this situation, the Small and Medium Hydropower - Green Energy Association, a occupational society organization, operating in the field of small and medium hydropower, green power across the country, under the Vietnam Energy Association was established. At the first term, 2015-2020, the Congress set out 16 key objectives to be implemented.
Accordingly, the Association shall consult and coordinate with the VEA to recommend to the Party and the Government on the review of the planning for small and medium hydropower system in the country; establish a planning for green energy development such as wind power, solar power ... and other forms of energy so as to have an overview and a comprehensive picture of this valuable form of energy; Also, it is required to make mechanisms and policies to encourage and attract domestic and foreign investors to invest in these projects; The Association also worked with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam to establish electric-power pricing mechanism, roadmap to arrange and connect grid from the plants to the national power network to integrate into competitive electric-power market, competitive electric-power wholesale market as well as the electric-power retail market later. Besides, the Association participated in developing policies, handling difficulties during the operation; advised and consulted in terms of technique, organization of workshops, exhibitions and fairs at home and abroad, strengthened exchange and cooperation with the professional businesses, and associations in the world ... At the Congress, the delegates adopted a operational charter, Congress resolutions of the first term, the Small and Medium Hydropower - Green Energy Association, at the same time, electing the Executive Committee consisting of 89 people.
 
In the framework of the Congress, CADI-SUN Company and Mr. Pham Luong Hoa - Chairman of Management Board\General Director of the Company was honored to receive the Award of Merit by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for outstanding achievements in production and business activities in 2015. Through specific and practical actions, CADI-SUN has committed and continued to accompany with the Association and businesses at home and abroad in research and development of green products to contribute to development of a clean environment for human being and society.
