On July 27, in Hanoi, Thuong Dinh Electric Wire and Cable Joint Stock Company (CADI-SUN) held a conference to conduct the preliminary review on production and business activities in the first 6 months of 2024. Chairman of the Board of Management/General Director Pham Luong Hoa chaired the conference. The conference was also attended by deputy general directors in charge of blocks, directors of departments/units/factories, and a large number of company employees.

Presenting the report at this event, Mr. Huynh Tan Quyen - Deputy General Director of CADI-SUN said that production and business activities in the first half of 2024 faced many difficulties due to many fluctuations in the global economy and politics. The value of materials increased and fluctuated strongly, agents actively have gathered goods, leading to increased orders, causing the overloading situation compared to the Company’s production capacity, and orders being extended. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have disrupted the supply chain; the sudden increase in purchasing power in March disrupted the purchase of materials. However, with the efforts of all employees and the close direction of the Board of Management/Board of General Directors, production and business activities still have achieved remarkable results.



Total production output increased by 48%, revenue increased by 32% compared to that of the same period. Three large factories in Hanoi and Hai Duong have operated stably, basically meeting orders well. The sales in the first 6 months of branches such as Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Da Nang, Tay Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh City, etc., are higher than that of the same period and surpass the set target. Some product groups grew beyond the plan such as: Flame retardant and fireproof cables; ADTA -–ADSTA; C; DSTA-DATA-MULLER; Medium duty cables; Control cables; PVC plastic beads... Export revenue grew strongly over the same period. Luong Dien Industrial Cluster operated stably and made a profit.

“Stabilizing human resources and ensuring salary and bonus policies for employees are also great efforts made by CADI-SUN in the first half of 2024, with average employee income increasing by 13.6% over the same period. The company focuses on organizing many internal events, maintaining cultural and sports activities, creating useful playgrounds for employees. Those in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses are also promptly visited and encouraged by the company's trade union,” said Mr. Quyen.



Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Luong Hoa highly appreciated and commended the efforts of the Company’s staff in the first 6 months of 2024. According to some experts, the economy at the end of the year witnessed a recovery from industry to export and consumption. A number of recently-passed laws such as the Land Law, Housing Law, etc., will be one of the driving forces for economic growth. However, the persistent and unpredictable geopolitical crisis (especially conflicts in Ukraine, the Red Sea, the Middle East, etc.) continues to create serious difficulties and challenges for manufacturing enterprises.



Reviewing some of the limitations in the past time, the General Director asked employees to continue to make more efforts, take opportunities, and overcome difficulties to successfully complete the set targets and plans. He especially noted that factories should properly perform targets in production planning and management, ensuring quality, and progress, preventing wastefulness, consumption, and loss to reduce costs and increase competitiveness in the market. Units should speed up the implementation of the Bac Duong factory expansion project to improve capacity and production output, proactively responding to market situations. At the same time, it is required to continue to research and improve sales policies in line with reality, and thoroughly apply ISO 9001:2015 management process, 5S tools, especially at the Company’s branches.
